And as an added bonus today, I am reposting this article my mom sent me, because I think its seriously the coolest thing in the world. Victor and I have already decided to do this on our “compound” when he retires.
In my mind, its different than the “micro-house” concept, because there is plenty of space to live, and a clever way of organizing the house to separate areas and involve the outdoors. It would work smashingly on a couple of of acres in Washington State, and would give you a humongous amount of room to homestead…goats, chickens, and greenhouses, oh my!
Not to mention the amount of energy you would save and the sheer off-the-gridness of it all. I’m going to start saving my pennies now. 🙂

Thanks for the comment! I know, I think the lines are really clean, and I like how it flows into the natural space of the backyard. Wouldn’t it work so well on some acres in a forested area?
